WAR EAGLES - Honoring the Spirit of the Buckskinner

About the War Eagle Society

The War Eagle Society was formed by a group of Vietnam Veteran Buckskinners several years ago. It was formed as a brotherhood, originally made up of combat Vets. Over time it has evolved into a group that includes all Vets, male or female; Rendezvouser; re-enactor; or trekkers that wish to be members. There is a second group called associates — these are non veterans who have contributed to the veterans cause in some way.

The War Eagles were originally created so they could share their experience with someone who had been through what they had. Today the War Eagle Society has a number of members from many conflicts, as well as present day active duty personal.

We are a brotherhood who are to be there for any brother or sister who has a problem, when and where ever that may be. We are here to take care of each other in times of need, and share a story or two around the campfire.

There are no officers in the War Eagle Society; it is the most disorganized organization around. There are no dues. No Rules — only a single page of general guidelines. The only moneys accepted are toward postage for the newsletter, which is currently being posted by Skip Stansbury.

Members can be found by their War Eagle Rosette and War Eagle Flag at any gathering of those of like mind. East, West, North, or South.
